It is a great honor and a true privilege to welcome you to the ICMART World Congress 2027 in Montevideo, Uruguay. As the newly elected President of ICMART, I am delighted to greet colleagues and friends from around the world who have come together in the spirit of science, collaboration, and friendship.
Our congress is much more than a scientific meeting. It is a unique opportunity to exchange knowledge, share experiences, build new partnerships, and strengthen the international community of medical acupuncture.
For decades, ICMART has been dedicated to promoting medical acupuncture based on scientific evidence, high educational standards, and international cooperation. Together, we continue to advance our field by encouraging research, supporting education, and fostering dialogue across cultures, disciplines, and healthcare systems.
Acupuncture reminds us that excellent medicine is not only about treating disease, but also about understanding the person as a whole. In an era of rapid technological progress and global health challenges, this holistic perspective is more relevant than ever. By combining the wisdom of traditional knowledge with modern scientific research, we can continue to improve patient care and contribute meaningfully to healthcare worldwide.

Our Congress is founded on a simple but powerful belief: that scientific excellence grows stronger when knowledge is shared openly, cultures meet with mutual respect, and professional relationships evolve into lasting friendships.
